A Mother’s Day Reflection
On Sunday, May 13th, one of our team members was asked to give the Mother’s Day Homily at all Masses at St. Cornelius Catholic Church. Audrey spoke from her heart about love, motherhood, and God.*
We were touched by her words and pray you will be, too…
*The Scripture Audrey references is John 17:11b-19
…Music composed and performed by Lori Rae Martin
That was wonderful! Thanks for sharing this. 🙂
Oh, appreciated the scripture reference…I was wondering which one it was. AND, I really enjoyed the music, too!
This was really beautiful.
It’s so easy nowadays to feel disheartened and discouraged with all the bad things happening in our dark world. But this made me feel hopeful that God and goodness ultimately will prevail. Why? Because good, kind people and a good and kind God really do exist!
Thank you Audrey for sharing your beautiful thoughts and words.
Thank you AudioGirl team for all you do for moms & their babies.
I know my mom would have loved to have heard this — so I just made a donation to you in her memory.
May more lives be saved from brutal death and more moms who are thinking of ending the innocent little life they’re carrying, CHOOSE LIFE.
That was wonderful. Danny, I liked your suggestion so I, too, made a donation to AudioGirl Ministries in remembrance of my mama…and said an extra prayer today for all of the moms of the world. 🙂
Audrey read this to the recent RCIA candidates of our parish (St. Cornelius) and their sponsors at a group dinner. I was so touched because I felt the inclusion
as she captured all mothers even those those who can not have children and those who are bonus-moms (step-mom) and raise someone else’s children. It made me feel loved in a very unconditional way. The Holy Spirit guided her reflection and in doing so, she was able to make all mothers feel special, including me.
This is a beautiful Homily! While I am not a mother, your words emulate the true meaning of motherhood…women who love with their whole heart. Thank you for sharing this.
How Beautiful!! No truer words have been spoken about being a mother and what the meaning of motherhood really is. Thank you for not only reconizing birth mothers but all those that have become mothers due to circumstances.
As always, Audrey beautifully frames thought-provoking messages. I appreciated your recognition of and blessings for all the different types of moms 🙂
Beautiful reflection on motherhood Audrey! I appreciate that you mentioned that motherhood is not limited to women who have had children, but all women who share God’s light and love in a supportive, nurturing manner, rooted in prayer.
Beautiful! A wonderful reminder that moms matter!
Nothing like a mother’s love. I miss my mom, though I keep her close in my heart…always will.
While I’m here I want to thank AudioGirl Ministries for helping me become a bold and active voice, as you say!, for the unborn. I downloaded The Power of 7 app and have since had great discussions with those on the other side. I may have even changed a mind, or two. It wasn’t easy at first, but I’ve found that with each opportunity to speak up in defense of the unborn I’m gaining confidence and I do feel the Holy Spirit speaking thru me at times. He must be speaking through me because I’m surprised at how easy I speak words of truth. 🙂 Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you ARE making a difference and because of your app, I’m making a difference, too.
This was so moving, inspiring, and true. I believe anyone who cares for a child is a mother. Thank you for sharing. So beautiful.
This was so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing ♥️
Thank you Audrey. Your lovely reflection is filled with love and appreciation for all the women who touch lives in loving, nurturing, caring, and compassionate ways reminding us of the beauty that resides in us.
