Calling All Prayer Warriors!

From the desk of Sylvia Aimerito – AGM Executive Director

There’s plenty of work to be done by those of us who are prolife, including the work we must do as prayer warriors.

Abortion is an intrinsic evil that will ultimatley be defeated by our actions AND prayer…and prayer is the ONE thing we can all do. No matter our age, no matter where we are, no matter our cirumstances… each of us can pray for an end to abortion.

I’m going to set a daily alarm for 12 noon that reminds me to pray for an end to abortion.  Will you join me?

We can pray something as simple as, “Lord, bring an end to abortion in America and the world. Amen.”

Or we can pray the Prayer for Life we use at our Monthly Mass for Life

“Heavenly Father, we adore You and worship You.  You have watched over each of us and sent Your angels to protect us from harm.

To You Lord, we owe life itself.  Awaken in every human conscience a profound reverence for human life. May we bring light and hope to all who are contemplating abortion.  Grant us the grace to defend our smallest and most defenseless brothers and sisters – those still being formed in the secret places of their mother’s womb.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.”

Or we can just speak to Jesus from our hearts, asking Him to end this holocaust of our time.

I know He will hear and answer our prayers…

Will you pray with me?

  1. God wants to hear from you. If we are to storm the gates of hell we better do it together.

  2. I’m with you Sylvia. I commit to a PRAYER every day that more people will realize the holocaust that is happening in our own time, all around us. Lord, help us to end abortion and please end our tax dollars that are going to support the biggest killing center: Planned Parenthood.
May God bless you, your ministry, and your team.

Terrific reminder, Sylvia. Keep doing God’s work.

  4. Thanks for the idea of synchronized daily prayer. There’s strength in numbers and power in persistence. One more suggested power-prayer that I like is that of Father Pavone:
Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life. And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice for all. Thru Christ our Lord, Amen.

(It’s lengthy but could easily be condensed to its essence.)

  5. I’m setting my alarm now!!!
