Madeline’s Lenten ProLife Journey – Entry #2

From the journal of Madeline, pro-life advocate and member of AudioGirl Ministries

Welcome Back!

I hope you’ve been having a prayerful Lent, and have been challenging yourself to do more over this season.

Over the weekend I watched the new video that Planned Parenthood released called, What is an Abortion? I witnessed a disturbing purple object named Sam “educating” me about the pros of having an abortion. Even though it was only four minutes and eight seconds, it was beyond inappropriate and came across as disturbing and manipulative especially since the target audience was 10-14 year olds. Not all information about the procedure was given and not all available options were addressed. Such options should always include information regarding local facilities that work to help a woman keep her baby. In fact, the video even mocked the crisis pregnancy clinics which we all know are wonderful resources for women who are in need of that last glimmer of hope, that difference-maker empowering them with the support they need to keep their babies.

What Planned Parenthood failed to mention (as usual) was the fact that abortion is the act of murdering a small human being.  So small that he/she does not yet have a voice in our world, but does have a separate DNA all his/her own – scientifically a human being. Not only is it legalizing and normalizing murder but it’s dehumanizing the woman by taking from her the precious gift she was created to receive – motherhood. The irony is that nothing about Planned Parenthood truly supports the gift of parenthood, rather it takes that possibility away.

I love this quote from Mother Teresa:

“Anything that destroys God’s gift of motherhood destroys his most precious gift to women: the ability to LOVE as a woman.” ~ St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Mother Teresa lived and left an inspiring legacy behind. Working to promote peace and justice for those with no voices. Let us live and learn by her example. Working to end abortion will NOT be easy, but IS possible. Praying in front of Planned Parenthood will make others aware of the realities happening in our world every day. We MUST continue to be the louder voice for those who do not have one.

See you on the front lines,

Madeline

  1. I’m not shocked that Planned Parenthood is promoting abortions to 10-14 year olds. It makes me sick, though. Why are they so fixated on murdering the unborn??

Good job calling them on their evil ways.

  2. Maddie, I did not know that middle schoolers were being shown such propaganda!

I agree that praying in front of PP promotes awareness. Another benefit I am discovering is the bringing together of like-minded (like-spirit) people to work together to help the moms, dads and innocents in this situation. Perhaps the greatest benefit is PRAYER.

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 20:18)
